The Dream Home

I've gotten a bit crazy lately about Polyvore, as you may have noticed and today I delved into creating home decor scenarios!  Huzzah!

Here's what I've come up with so far...

THE ENTRY WAY

Entryway

Here I've used wallpaper, a female sculpture and a brass knot sculpture all designed by Kelly Wearstler, a dish from Design Within Reach, vintage lamp from 1st Dibs, an antique mirror and the Jonathan Adler Bond desk, and two Knoll Platnner stools.

THE LIVING ROOM

The Fab Life

For the living room I've chosen subtle dove gray paint, a Design Within Reach sofa with two pink silk flamestitch pillows, an Eames lounger, a gold Kartell Bourgie lamp  and two Saarinen tulip, marble-topped side tables also from DWR, Kelly Wearstler brass kaleidoscopes, two fabulous vintage pink and brass chairs from 1st Dibs, the Meurice chandelier, Nixon marble-topped cocktail table, and the Bond console all from Jonathan Adler, and an exquisite painting done by artist, Michele Armas.

THE DINING ROOM

The Dining Room

Finally, in the dining room we've got a vintage sputnik chandelier, a painting by James Nares, Louis Kartell Ghost chairs, and two Knoll Platner chairs, the Bond dining table from Jonathan Adler, DVF gold silverware, Kelly Wearstler for Pickard china, and Marc Blackwell "Southern Hemisphere" glassware from Barney's.
The centerpieces are stolen from the Fall 2012 RTW Jil Sander show and are genius bouquets positioned in clear perspex boxes....I think we may be seeing that trend in the event florals of some of the most fashionable hostesses.
So there you have it!  Won't you stop by my imaginary home for a drink sometime?

ps- If you can't tell I'm completely obsessed with the Jonathan Adler Bond Collection.  It's burled wood and lucite combo make me positively giddy with furniture lust!

Dallas Arboretum Spring Wedding

Long has the Dallas Arboretum been one of my favorite places in the city.  In March, "Dallas Blooms" occurs which basically means that the entire location erupts with azalea, tulip, wisteria, and hydrangea blooms...it's fairly breath-taking.
A Woman's Garden has always been my favorite spot when imagining a garden wedding, it's formal and modern but still lush and green - and the water features are soothing and peaceful.  Here's my fashion-take on what a spring wedding in A Woman's Garden would look like:

A Nasher Sculpture Center Wedding

Nasher Sculpture Center Wedding

I visited the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas for the first time a few nights ago and it definitely inspired me! At night the lights of the neighboring skyscrapers provide an exciting urban surrounding to this sophisticated and artful oasis. I wanted to choose dresses that would compliment the modern sculptures throughout the garden, and this Vera Wang gown (called Fiona) has been on my short list of dream dresses for a while. Next time you're in Dallas I would definitely recommend stopping by this arts district staple for a peaceful respite from the city!

My Polyvore Debut

As if I didn't have enough places to fool around online, especially with Pinterest having become by daily obsession...I've given into another site after a long battle of resistance.  Time to conquer Polyvore!

Here's my debut outfit created with Polyvore:

It all started with this great Jil Sander sequined shirt, then the brown leather pants, suede YSL tribute sandals and green Celine bag followed.  I would wear this any day of the week!

Bridesmaid Inspiration

I've always been a proponent for mix and match bridesmaid dresses and I just found these super-cute ones from Anthropologie that would be adorable at a farm or garden springtime wedding.
